About Engine Room @ LeedsBID

A central hub enabling consultation and collaboration and delivering support and resources to meet the needs of businesses across the city.

Engine Room @ LeedsBID brings together an array of support functions in one city centre location to enable businesses in Leeds to prosper.

This central hub will lead consultation with and support collaboration between sectors and stakeholders across the city centre to develop and deliver business solutions which best meet the  needs of employers.

Engine Room aims to help improve Leeds as a city, initially during recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and then as part of its continual growth, by supporting and responding to the changes, challenges and opportunities businesses encounter.

It is positioned to provide a responsive and agile service to best meet training and skills requirements, working with the businesses which need it alongside other key partners.

  • digital skills – in partnership with Leeds Boost
  • business support including webinars and workshops addressing operational and strategic topics such as support with grant applications
  • room usage – suite of training/meetings rooms for hire, equipped to host on-line meetings and training.
  • providing a central location for Street Support partner organisations which work to keep the city centre safe.
