PLG Mentoring for Growth Programme

The Local Enterprise Partnerships and Business Growth Hubs are seeking companies to take part in an exciting rollout of a national mentoring programme.

The Productivity Leadership Group (PLG) launched a mentoring programme in March 2018 to address the UK’s low productivity growth, which has stagnated since the 2008 recession.

The pilot found that the addition of a Mentor from big business helped SMEs improve their business performance.

Due to the success of the pilot, the programme is currently being launched nationally and new SMEs who meet the criteria and are based in your area are invited to take part.

If your company meets the minimum requirements (below) you may qualify for this fully funded support.

Criteria

  • All sectors eligible
  • Minimum turnover £2M
  • Minimum employees 10FTE
  • Must be looking to improve productivity and the Mentee must be a key decision-maker in the business.

The Mentors are provided by the PLG members who are senior/executive leaders from the following organisations:

  • Siemens
  • Cisco
  • BT
  • Amazon
  • GlaxoSmithKline
  • John Lewis Partnership
  • Accenture
  • BAE Systems
  • Ernest and Young
  • KPMG
  • McKinsey

Mentors will commit to supporting two businesses over a 12-month period and will offer mentoring on a face-to-face meeting, Skype, telephone, e-mail etc basis.

This is a unique opportunity for your business to gain access to high calibre mentors with global corporate experience to share knowledge, ideas and good practice.

If this is something your company would like to apply for please, email your contact details to: Richard.Nutbrown@growthco.uk or call 07407 414479
